ANNA LAURA PAGE
Anna Laura Page resides in Sherman, Texas, with her husband, Dr. Oscar C. Page, President of Austin College. She is a Music Editor, composer and clinician. The Pages have one daughter, Dr. Laura Kristen Page of Wheaton, IL, and one son, Matthew D. Page of Dallas, TX. Anna Laura is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a B. M. in music education with a piano major and voice minor; and a M. M. in Music Theory with organ emphasis.

Anna Laura is responsible for the handbell catalog of Alfred Publishing Co., Inc., Van Nuys, CA, and conducts numerous handbell festivals, handbell workshops and handbell reading sessions.

She says, "I had my first handbell piece published around 1985 or so. I had my first piece, a free hymn harmonization for organ, published in 1975 but I didn't get serious about writing until 1985. I started writing for the keyboard since that is where I worked every Sunday, but later the choral things and handbell things came along as I needed music for my choirs at church. I have no idea how many things I have published, but there are several. I love working with handbells, and I have a lot of fun writing for them.

I want the ringers to have fun with the music, ring it musically, and listen for harmonic changes that accompany melody while learning precision. I want the music I write to be useful, well crafted and serving."
